Get started and invite your family

Who it's for: the family administrator, that is, the person setting up the service for their loved one. You need your own phone or computer and an email address.

Steps

  1. Request an invitation and create your account

    Creating an account starts with an invitation: press Request an invitation and tell us briefly who you are considering the service for. We will email you a link for creating your account. The one-month trial starts as soon as the account is created.

    Open the link in the email and select Create account on the login page. Fill in Username, Email, Password (min. 8 characters) and Repeat password, accept the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy and press Create account. You become the administrator of the family circle.

  2. Log in

    Open the Vieressa app in the browser on a phone or computer (Chrome or Edge) or in the Vieressa app on an Android phone or an iPhone. Enter your Username or email and Password and press Log in.

  3. Verify your email address

    Open the verification link sent to your email. If you can't find the link, open your own photo in the top right corner of Home and choose Profile. If it says Email not verified, press Resend verification email.

  4. Add your loved one

    When there is no loved one in the family circle yet, the app opens the page Create the account of the person you care for. For now, the app refers to your loved one as the person you care for. Later you can find the same page from the Family button on Home, under Add a person.

    Enter a Name: it is shown to callers and on your loved one's device, for example Aino or Grandma. Date of birth is optional. Press Create account. Your loved one needs neither an email address nor a password.

  5. Make a note of the activation code

    Next you see Activation code for your loved one's device. The code connects your loved one's device to the service. It is valid for 15 minutes, and you can get a new one at any time on the Family page by pressing Device code next to your loved one. Continue to the guide Prepare your loved one's device.

  6. Add a profile photo for yourself

    Your loved one calls from a familiar photo, so your own photo matters. Open your own photo in the top right corner of Home, choose Profile and press the photo at the top (Change). Choose a photo in which your face is clearly visible.

  7. Bring the rest of the family along

    On the Family page, under Members, you can see who belongs to the family circle. Invite others on the same page under Invite by email: enter the email address of a family member, friend or caregiver and press Send invitation. If you care for more than one person, first choose whose circle the invitation is for. The person gets a link by email for creating their own account, or for accepting with an existing one. The invitation is valid for 7 days. Under Open invitations you can send it again or cancel it. You can send invitations once your own email address is verified. Everyone uses the service with their own account and adds their own profile photo.

How you know it worked: the Family page shows your loved one's name under People you care for, and you have an activation code for their device.
